NBA Fantasy Team 2009-2010

With the new NBA season a few weeks away it’s time for me to pick my fantasy roster. Throughout the years I’ve chosen great players but now I realize I must choose the guys that will give me great all around numbers. Example: Kobe Bryant is the best shooting guard in the NBA but in fantasy basketball I’ll take Dwayne Wade because his overall stats are more impressive. Other notable fantasy players to grab if available are Shawn Marion, Gerald Wallace, Josh Smith, Chris Paul. These are player that will fill the stat sheet for me every night which brings me to today’s blog. The best fantasy players by position are:
- PG - Chris Paul: He’ll provide steals, assist, and points
- SG - Dwayne Wade: The 2006 NBA Finals MVP will score, rebound, steal, and cross (sorry not an official stat)
- SF - LeBron James: King James provides scoring, rebounding, assist, and potentially block 2 shots per game….MVP REPEAT!!!!
- PF - Dirk Nowitzki: Expect 8-9 rebounds, mid 20s’ ppg, but what he does better than any other PF is his 3-point shooting
- C - Amare Stoudamire: Stat brings to the table his scoring, 8-9 rebounds, but most important over 80% free throw shooting
My advice is if any of the players mentioned about are available in round one, do not pass them up
